The GS Juice Plus card is a memory expansion board for the
Apple IIgs. This card was one of many produced by third parties as an
alternative to the Apple IIgs Memory Expansion card from Apple, which
was limited to 1MB of additional RAM. The GS Juice Plus supports up to
4 banks of 1MB x 1 memory chips to provide 1, 2, or 4MB of additional
memory. A 3MB configuration is not supported. The two jumpers are used
to select the installed memory configuration.
The utilities disk that came with the GS Juice Plus contains
AI.RAM.TEST, a program for testing the memory on the card and John
Link's public domain program SuperPatch 3.1, to patch Appleworks 2.0
and 2.1 to allow it to use the additional memory.
